All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET) for the year 2026 is a national-level recruitment exam to select Nursing Officers for AIIMS and allied institutes across India. AIIMS NORCET 10 Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to appear for the NORCET 10 Exam 2026, candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria as specified by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences. Below, we have mentioned the eligibility criteria that must be fulfilled by the candidates in terms of educational qualification and age limit, as mentioned in the notice.

Educational Qualification

Candidates can check the educational qualifications that must be fulfilled by them as mentioned below.

• B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing / B.Sc. Nursing from an Indian Nursing Council/state Nursing council-recognised Institute or University
  OR
• B.Sc. (Post-Certificate) / Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing from an Indian Nursing Council/State Nursing Council recognised Institute/University
  AND
• Registered as Nurses & Midwives with the State/Indian Nursing Council
  OR
• Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery from an Indian Nursing Council/State Nursing Council recognized Institute/Board or Council
• Registered as Nurses & Midwives in the State/Indian Nursing Council
• Two Years’ Experience in a minimum 50-bedded Hospital after acquiring the above educational qualification

Age Limit

Candidates who will be applying for the AIIMS NORCET 10 2026 exam must have a minimum age of 18 years and a maximum age of 30 years. However, age relaxation for the reserved categories in the upper age limit will also be provided. Candidates can check the age relaxation as per their categories from below.

The selection of candidates for Nursing Officer posts is based on candidates’ performance in the Preliminary and Mains examinations. Both stages will be held online computer-based mode. Candidates who qualify for the Stage 1 exam will be called to appear for the Stage II exam.
